Hoodoo Psychics

I was raised in the Pentecostal church, which made me no stranger to miraculous healings and other wonders that occurred when Spirit was called down. Prophesying and speaking in tongues were the norm. At the age of eight, I had an experience that opened my eyes to energies that felt familiar but unlike anything I had felt in the Church. I began noticing the energies of other people and Nature in a tangible way. As I got older I frequented bookstores and libraries, absorbing anything I could find on what most people consider to be metaphysical practices. I was (and still am) an avid reader and spent a lot of my youth combing through books on astrology, ESP, and magic. I began honing my gifts by age twelve through meditation and interacting with elemental spirits.

I acquired a Tarot deck in my first year of high school; the connection was instantaneous. Something about the art resonated and spoke to me. I had never held or worked with the Tarot before then, so I relied on the stories they painted in my mind for interpretation. I began practicing as a solitary witch a year later and by my senior year, I was doing readings and energetic healing after school for my peers. Some were apprehensive at first and a few seemed mystified, but to this day when I run into anyone I helped, they recall the experience fondly and with gratitude. Knowing that I was able to take some of the fear and confusion out of what is a truly beautiful tool made me feel like I was operating in the will of Spirit.

In the autumn of 2012, I started receiving impressions and visitations from locational and ancestral spirits. This led me to a crossroads and the path I chose would reveal how I could be of better service in the lives of those around me. I came across the online hoodoo community and after much studying enrolled in Miss cat yronwode's course, graduating in June of 2016. I began making my own line of spiritual products under the name Lionhart Candles & Curios in honor of my Leo grandmother & the ancestors who made it possible for me to be here. In between making products, I gladly assist my clients in drawing romance, new employment, healing and success. I also offer cleansings and tea leaf readings for my in-person clients. Playing cards hold a special place in my heart, and I will occasionally utilize bibliomancy, astrology, numerology and various forms of scrying to help glean insight. I do crossing work on a case-by-case basis and only if it's justified. I do not judge anyone who asks me for help; I’ve probably been in your shoes at some point in my life. I’m in the business of building people up and ultimately desire to empower others with the knowledge they need to help themselves. I believe if you pray loud enough and from your heart, Spirit will answer.
